Foundations:

There are several advantages to insulating the exterior surface of foundation walls. The block or concrete wall insulated on the exterior surface is not subjected to large temperature differences so will not act as a thermal bridge. Block walls insulated on the exterior undergo less air convection in block cavities. And finally, unlike interior applications, no living space is lost. Insulating on the exterior side of foundation requires products that are extremely moisture resistant, tough and durable.
Below Grade Drainage:
Sometimes, in addition to insulating value and waterproofing protection, a vertical drainage medium is necessary at the foundation. There are products that achieve all three features within one product, ultimately saving time and money.
Radiant Floors – Under Slab:
Radiant floor heating directs heat upward into the room. To ensure effective operation of the system, particularly for under-slab floor designs, insulation is an important consideration. Properly insulating radiant floor systems makes it possible to provide maximum comfort at minimum cost.
