INTUMESCENT FIREBLOCKING FOR UP TO 2″ CAVITIES IN VENTILATED RAINSCREEN SYSTEMS
The FF102/50 Fire Blocks are rigid, high-expansion intumescent strips encased in aluminum foil, designed for mechanical installation in concealed cavities and air gaps up to 2" (with up to 1 3/4" open space between the fireblock face and cladding). These innovative strips enable high-performance rainscreen walls while delivering exceptional fireblocking capabilities. The open space design allows for proper airflow and moisture dissipation during normal conditions, while the intumescent material rapidly expands during fire exposure to seal cavities and prevent flame and heat spread.

INTUMESCENT FIREBLOCK FOR LARGE CAVITIES IN VENTILATED RAINSCREEN SYSTEMS
The FF102/50Plus Intumescent Fire Block is an advanced 'open state' cavity fireblocking system designed for ventilated cavities and air gaps ranging from 2" up to 19.6" (500mm). Specifically engineered for façade systems incorporating combustible insulation, it delivers critical fire-stopping performance while maintaining essential ventilation. The system combines Tenmat's high-expansion FF102/50 intumescent material with high-density mineral wool backing, all enclosed in protective polythene wrap.
Extensively fire-tested including NFPA285 at Intertek and UL, the FF102/50Plus is NYC OTCR/DOB approved under 2022 NYC Building Code Section 718.2.1.
